The Equality Act has bounced around Congress for a few years, but is now likely to pass both Democrat-controlled houses of Congress. It would amend the Civil Rights Act to forbid discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. Although it seeks to do good, it actually creates problems. Al explains.

China claims it is “Emancipating” Uyghurs – State Dept. Says it’s Genocide
In a post that has since been removed by Twitter, the Chinese Embassy in the US claimed last week that actions in China against the Uyghur people were emancipating women and promoting gender equality and reproductive health. In the final days of the Trump administration, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo declared what China is doing to be an act of Genocide and new Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said he agrees.
