Kayla Mueller was tragically killed in an air strike targeting the terrorist group ISIS while being held captive by them. Kayla was captured while traveling between a hospital and a train station in Syria. In her home state of Arizona she was known by her family and friends as a kind, generous, selfless person who often traveled doing mission work and other humanitarian activities. Did Kayla ignore her better judgment and the advice of her family and friends in choosing to go to such a notoriously dangerous place? Kayla’s college ministry leader Rev. Kathleen Day joins us today to talk about Kayla’s life and witness and hopefully answer a few of our questions.

We’re talking to you again today. Today we take a look at a recent discussion regarding the source or foundation of our rights as humans, and Americans. Some say that our rights are afforded to us by the Constitution. We take a look at the flaws and history of this argument. Then we’re tackling 5 lies our culture tells us today. Do you agree with our list? What would you add to it? And finally a Chicago Little League team was stripped of its title due to a recruiting scandal that took players from outside district lines. Jesse Jackson is now threatening a lawsuit claiming racist motives. Are we as Americans trained to be victims? We discuss all this and more today on Kresta in the Afternoon. We’re looking forward to hearing from you on these and other topics.
