Kresta in the Afternoon – February 13, 2024 – Hour 2

Why do some people claim Michelangelo’s Creation of Man is a sign of White Supremacy? Al discusses, and Gary Anderson explains the importance of the Tabernacle narrative.

Kresta Comments: Michelangelo and White Supremacy?!? The Result of thinking that power governs all our relationships

What does Israel’s tabernacle mean for Christians today?

The Book of Leviticus isn’t exactly the most exciting book in the Bible, and it’s one we often find ourselves skimming through or skipping altogether. But it’s in these verses that we find crucial details for the construction and use of the Tabernacle, which in turn deepens our understanding of the Gospel. Gary Anderson joins us with more.

Dr. Gary Anderson is the author most recently of That I May Dwell among Them: Incarnation and Atonement in the Tabernacle Narrative. He’s Hesburgh Professor of Catholic Thought at the University of Notre Dame, and his primary fields of study include Christianity and Judaism in Antiquity. His other books include “Sin: A History” and “Charity: The Place of the Poor in the Biblical Tradition.”
