The Southern Poverty Law Center has released its annual hate list, which once again includes groups like the Alliance Defending Freedom and Ruth Institute, who have been accused of fostering hate against Muslims, LGBTQ people, and other groups. What are the SPLC’s ultimate motivations? We’ll talk with Tyler O’Neil.

My Seminary Story

Some men know from early childhood they are called to be priests. Others have their vocation revealed to them in one shining, irrefutable moment. And for others, it’s somewhere in between. We’ve talked with many priests over the years about how they came to find their vocation but don’t usually hear from seminarians. Dominic Schoenle, a first-year seminarian at St John Vianney, joins us today.

Dominic Schoenle is a first-year seminarian at St John Vianney Seminary, part of the University of St Thomas in Minnesota. He graduated from Fr. Gabriel Richard High School in 2020, where he served on the leadership team for the Kairos retreats and played lacrosse. He’s also on the leadership team for Pine Hills Boys Camp and is the youngest of six children.
