Kresta in the Afternoon – December 1, 2023 – Hour 1

Detective J Warner Wallace examines why Jesus Still Matters in a World that Rejects the Bible.

Kresta Comments: What Can Nathaniel Hawthorne Teach us about the Church?

What lessons can we learn about the modern church from a short story written before the Civil War? Al looks at Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Birthmark to explain.

Was Jesus a Person of Interest?

Detective J. Warner Wallace listened to a pastor talk about Jesus and wondered why anyone would think Jesus was a person of interest. He was skeptical of the Bible, but he’d investigated several no-body homicide cases in which there was no crime scene, no physical evidence, and no victim’s body. Could the historical life and actions of Jesus be investigated in the same way? He decided to find out. He joins us.

J. Warner Wallace is a cold-case homicide detective, popular national speaker and best-selling author. He continues to consult on cold-case investigations while serving as a Senior Fellow at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview. He’s the author of many books, most recently The Truth in True Crime: What Investigating Death Teaches Us About the Meaning of Life.
