Can Public School Coaches pray with their Teams?

On Monday the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case of Kennedy v Bremerton School District. The case involves Coach Joseph Kennedy, who spent years praying with members of his football team on the 50-yard-line after games until he was banned in 2015. Are Coach Kennedy’s prayers protected by Freedom of Religion, or do they violate the Establishment Clause? That’s what the Court is deciding, and Andrea Picciotti-Bayer lets us know how the debate is going.
