Kresta in the Afternoon – April 12, 2021 – Hour 1

Robert Hutchinson discusses the rise of Christianity and Doug Keck announces a new show about Mother Angelica.

The Dawn of Christianity

How did a small-town rabbi, helped almost exclusively by uneducated fisherman, prostitutes and soldiers, launch an underground movement that changed the world forever? In less than three years Jesus and his followers ignited a spiritual revolution that sent shockwaves far beyond the rural villages of northern Israel and into every nation on earth. Drawing from the latest in archaeology and New Testament scholarship, Robert Hutchinson looks at how he did it.

Robert Hutchinson is the author of The Dawn of Christianity: How God Used Simple Fishermen, Soldiers and Prostitutes to Transform the World. He learned Hebrew in Israel and earned a graduate degree in New Testament. He’s also the author of “Searching for Jesus: New Discoveries in the Quest of Jesus of Nazareth.”
