Answering Old Testament Controversies

How do we handle the “difficult” passages we find in Scripture, especially the Old Testament? Many times we tend toward one of two extremes – we either ignore the passages entirely, or obsess over them so much that we miss anything else. Tremper Longman joins us to help cut through the confusion and find clarity.

Dr. Tremper Longman III is the author of Confronting Old Testament Controversies: Pressing Questions about Evolution, Sexuality, History and Violence. He’s Distinguished Scholar and Professor Emeritus of Biblical Studies at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California where he was the Robert H. Gundry Professor of Biblical Studies for nineteen years before his retirement. Before Westmont, he taught at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia for eighteen years. He has authored or coauthored more than thirty books.
