What is a bromance? I’m Chuck Gaidica and this is Journey Strong.

This word bromance is used more by younger men to describe close friendships with other young guys. You know the guys who man hug and chest bump. Let’s face it, generally women can make friends more easily than men. My wife can make a new friend coming out of the lady’s room. While this may be tougher for guys, younger men now reflect that their close male to male friendships are getting deeper and growing. Many guys who only seemed to communicate with crude jokes to each other are now more open to sharing, being vulnerable and authentic with each other. This is likely good news for so many reasons including emotional and mental health. Developing close male bonds includes sharing much about life. But being a good listener is a key to a strong buddy relationship too.
