Pregnancy and Infant Loss Mass
October 16, 2019 @ 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

October is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. October 16th is the feast Day of St. Gerard Majella. He was born on April 6, 1726 and died October 15, 1755. He is known as the patron saint for mothers and for mothers with a sick child. Many women witness to St. Gerard’s intercession; pregnancies are achieved and children are healed.
The Pious Union of St. Joseph in Grass Lake MI invites you to a special liturgical celebration on October 16th in honor of St. Gerard and in remembrance children who have lost their lives through miscarriage or other illness. At this special Mass, each couple hoping to conceive a child will be blessed with a relic of St. Gerard by the celebrant, asking for his intercession for them to achieve pregnancy if it be God’s will.
The Book of Innocents will be available for eternal remembrance of the deceased children. These names will be remembered especially on the 16th of each month at Mass in the Shrine of St. Joseph.
