Help Stop Washtenaw County Tax $ to Planned Parenthood

January 23, 2020 @ 6:30 PM

On Nov. 20, the Washtenaw county board of Commissioners voted unanamously to give Planned Parenthood of Michigan $100,000 to make up for PP’s decision to reject federal funds after President Trump’s administration policy change.  The policy change stated that Title X recipients cannot refer for or actually do abortions.  Apparently, our county Commissioners felt they had to help make up this loss of revenue to PP.

We are planning to address the board at the next commissioner’s meeting on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 6:30 PM at 220 North Main St. in Ann Arbor.  We want to pack the meeting room and convince the board to not fund PP of MI next year for the following reasons: PP does not need the money – they are still getting plenty of government money; PP chose to not receive this money because their abortion income is much more than the $286 million they turned down from title X funding; PP in Ann Arbor main money income comes from their abortion clients; abortion is their main business at their abortion facility on Professional Dr. (proof that abortion is their main business in Ann Arbor through our examples); PP’s annual report shows that while abortion is decreasing in the US, it is increasing at PP while Pap tests, breast exams and prenatal care continue to decrease; PP in AA harms women (site the 5 women sent to the hospital in an ambulance by PP in one year).

We need people to speak about this and other topics to help the commissioners know the truth about the PP in AA.  Please contact Paul at [email protected] or 734-657-0901 if you can read a script for 2 minutes or can attend.  Please help us prevent future PP funding by our county commissioners!!
