Colleen Vermeulen talks about Catholic Biblical School of Michigan’s Word of the Week and the banquet.

 

 

Colleen Vermeulen, Director and Instructor at the Catholic Biblical School of Michigan Colleen Vermeulen joined CBSM in 2016 as an instructor in Year B and proceeded to become the Director in 2018. Her personal motivation for teaching is to connect people to the Scriptures so that they can listen and respond to God’s Word. When people encounter God in the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit takes care of the rest! Colleen seeks to help her students dig into the real life history of the New Testament in order to ground their faith and give them credibility when sharing the Bible with others.

Barb Ernster invites everyone to her talk at Our Lady of Fatima Shrine.

 

 

Barb Ernster is the national coordinator and communications director for the World Apostolate of Fatima (WAF), USA. She manages programs and outreach to diocesan and parish chapters, member engagement, programs, books and print/digital content. In addition to hosting a weekly podcast on Fatima Today, she is a regular guest on Radio Maria’s Beyond Fatima Show and other Catholic radio stations. She has appeared on television and video productions and speaks at conferences and parishes nationwide. 

Barb has been studying and writing extensively on the message of Fatima and the spirituality of the three Fatima children, since 2007. As the editor of the English edition of the biography of Sister Lucia, A Pathway Under the Gaze of Mary, she discovered the meaning of devotion to the Immaculate Heart through Sister Lucia’s daily life, devotion and writings.

Prior to joining the WAF, she was a writer and communications consultant for Catholic and secular organizations, and a regular contributor to the National Catholic Register. She and her husband, Tom, reside in Fridley, MN and have three adult children. They are members of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Anthony, MN.
