Kristen Olmedo talks about United Community Family Services Chaldean Ladies of Charity, the increasing need, upcoming events, and more.

Kristin Olmedo joined United Community Family Services/ Chaldean American Ladies of Charity (UCFS/CALC) as its new president and CEO in June 2021. Kristin is responsible for the oversight and strategic direction of UCFS/CALC’s services to more than 10,000 people annually in metro Detroit. Kristin has dedicated her career to the care of others. She is a vastly experienced nonprofit executive who brings a lifelong passion and commitment to those less fortunate in our community. Prior to joining UCFS/CALC, Kristin was the Director of Development of Grace Centers of Hope, Pontiac, Mich. where she advanced through several positions including Director of Financial and Business Operations of Grace Centers of Hope. Kristin is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. A resident of Clarkston, Mich., Kristin earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Oakland University. In her free time, she likes to travel with her husband, watch soccer and spend time with her nephew and niece.

Debbie Herbeck and Terese Gibb invites women to Unveil tonight to spend time with the Lord in praise and prayer.

 

Debbie Herbeck has shared with many her personal journey of faith from Judaism to Christianity and subsequent entrance into the Catholic Church. For the past forty years, Debbie has worked extensively in youth and women’s ministry, speaking, leading mission trips, and mentoring high school and college age women. She has spoken at Franciscan University Conferences, Legatus chapters, and women’s events throughout the world. She is the founder and executive director of Pine Hills Girls Camp. Debbie is also the founder and director of the Be Love Revolution, a ministry that exists to help young women encounter Christ and be His love to all they meet. She has written Safely Through the Storm: 120 Reflections on Hope, Firmly on the Rock: 120 Reflections on Faith, and Love Never Fails: 120 Reflections on Love. She and her husband Peter have co-authored a book entitled When the Spirit Speaks: Touched by God’s Word. Debbie is a frequent author and speaker for Blessed is She and contributing writer for Undone: Freeing your Feminine Heart from the Knots of Fear and Shame. Debbie and her husband Peter live in Ann Arbor, Michigan and have 4 adult children and 11 grandchildren.

Terese Gibb is a wife, mother and teacher.  After almost 20 years of teaching religion, she currently is the Coordinator of Evangelization at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She loves walking alongside women of all ages as they grow in their Catholic faith. Terese has an MA in Religious Education and is now studying Theology of the Body at the TOB Institute.
