Deacon Steven Caraher invites everyone to a musical at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. Jackie Francois Angel welcomes all women to the ECRC Women’s Conference.

Segment 1

Deacon Steven Caraher invites everyone to a musical at Sacred Heart Major Seminary.

Deacon Steven Caraher is a transitional deacon from the diocese of Gary, Indiana in his last year of studies for the priesthood. He’s currently a seminarian at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. The oldest of four children of a Catholic family, Deacon Steven was born and raised in Munster, Indiana, and was first drawn to the priesthood through his many years of altar serving at his home parish of St. Thomas More. It was also at St. Thomas More elementary school where he was first introduced to theatre, which developed into a passion and creative outlet throughout high school and college. He studied at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, double majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science and minoring the theatre. During his time at IU he got involved in the Catholic campus ministry, had a powerful personal deepening of his faith, and heard God’s call for him to enter seminary. He spent his first two years of priestly formation at Mundelein seminary in Chicago, and is nearing the end of his fourth year and final year at Sacred Heart. He expects to be ordained a priest for the Diocese of Gary on June 1 of this year, God willing.

Segment 2

Jackie Francois Angel invites women to ECRC’s Women’s Conference.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve served in many different ministry capacities including youth, young adult, marriage, pro-life, and music ministries. Back in 2006, I teamed up with Oregon Catholic Press with whom I released two original music albums.

Since getting married and welcoming five adorable kids into the world, my ministry has evolved to include homeschooling our kids, which has been a wonderful blend of faith, fun, flexibility, and chaos.
