Msgr Todd Laginess and Karen Ervin from Our Lady of Good Counsel our Parish of  the Week Wednesday.

 

 

Msgr.  Todd Lajiness attended Sacred Heart Major Seminary and the Pontifical Gregorian University, and was ordained in 1995.  He served at Our Lady of Victory in Northville, then was appointed Secretary to His Eminence Edmund Cardinal Szoka, and served in this role from 1997-2002. During this time he earned a Doctorate in Philosophy form the Angelicum in Rome.  Returning to Detroit, Msjr. Todd served at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, and in 2012 was appointed the 13th Rector and President of Sacred Heart. He continued serving in this role with many responsibilities at the seminary and in the community, then in 2021 was assigned as the Administrator of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Plymouth, which is in the Northwest Wayne Vicariate Family 4 of the Archdiocese of Detroit.

 

 

Karen Ervin is the Principal of Our Lady of Good Counsel School which serves 470 students from pre-K to 8th grade.  Karen brings a lot of experience, faith, leadership, and a service heart to the faculty she leads and the students in her care. And, she is a Consecrated Virgin living in the World.

Adora Kassab Ibrahim talks about the March for Life.

Adora Kassab Ibrahim is a first-generation Chaldean American entrepreneur with more than 20 years of leadership expertise in the real estate industry, nonprofit sector, and business sector. Adora’s unique understanding of organizational development, nonprofit structures, and corporate culture along with her intense connection to God’s heart give her the ability to respond to the movement of the Holy Spirit and bring creative solutions to the table. Her knack and ability to look at an organization from the 10-thousand-foot view and bring wise counsel to the table is invaluable. She has consulted for international, national, and local non-profits alike. Adora has a servant’s heart and believes the most important resource of any organization are its people.

 Adora is also passionate about the feminine genius and holy sisterhood, raising holy children, and intercessory prayer. She resides in Southeast Michigan with her husband of 24 years and their three children. She is currently taking classes towards a master’s in theology.
