Ralph Martin is the President of Renewal Ministries and the author of many books, most recently A Church in Crisis: Pathways Forward as well as The Fulfillment of All Desire: A Guidebook for the Journey to God Based on the Wisdom of the Saints. He was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as a Consultor to the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization and directs the Graduate Theology Programs in Evangelization at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. Fr. Ben Hasse and Kaleb Dorweiler from St. Albert the Great in Houghton talk about this year’s Ice Chapel.
Fr. Ben Hasse Pastor, St. Albert the Great, Houghton, MI and St. Anne’s in Chassell Fr. Ben Hasse was raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He studied forestry and Spanish at Purdue University, and then went to Mundelein Seminary after three years in El Salvador as a Peace Corps volunteer. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Marquette in 2009, and has been serving as pastor of St. Al’s (Houghton) and St. Anne’s (Chassell) since 2013. He also currently serves as Vocations Director for the Diocese of Marquette.
Kaleb Dorweiler is a senior Forestry major at Michigan Technological University, and the leader of the lector ministry at St. Albert the Great University Parish. His interests include skiing, hiking, backpacking, and all things Catholic.
