Mark Robinson joins vanessa to talk with us about what Livingston County Catholic Charities do and the rise of mental illness and depression in society today.

Mark Robinson LMSW, ACSW, Executive Director, Livingston County Catholic Charities, 2020 E. Grand River, Suite 104, Howell, MI 48843 I’ve been the Executive Director of Livingston County Catholic Charities since 1/29/01, my 20th anniversary is coming up. Before that I was the Executive Director of Catholic Social Services of Monroe County, from 1992 – 2000. My career goes back to 1975 and includes parish work in Detroit, the former Catholic Social Services of Wayne County and Holy Cross Family Services (formerly Boysville of MI). All but 4 years of my career have been with Catholic organizations. My wife of 37 years, Anne Pavlic, and I have one 29-year-old daughter who is a teacher. I am a member of Holy Family Parish in Novi. I have a Bachelor’s of Social Work from the former Mercy College (now U of D – Mercy), 1978, and a Master’s of Social Work from Wayne State University, 1983.

Steve Ray talks with us about his upcoming pilgrimages and how pilgrimages change people’s life. 

Steve Ray leads pilgrimages to the Holy Land, Rome and other sites. He converted to Catholicism in 1994 and is the author of “Crossing the Tiber,” “Upon this Rock” and other books. He’s the host and producer of the Footprints of God DVD series and has been to the Holy Land more than 180 times. He also writes bible studies for Catholic Scripture Study International

Kevin ‘Mr. Peace’ Szawala joins us to talk about his national youth motivational & anti-bullying speaking and his new staff enrichment program. 

Kevin Szawala (aka ‘Mr. Peace’) is a National Youth Motivational & Anti-Bullying Speaker, Hip-Hop Artist & Spoken Word Poet from Metro Detroit, who travels the country to schools, churches, colleges & youth clubs spreading a passionate message of peace, love, equality, tolerance, kindness & understanding.
