Fr. Chris Nahra from St. Sharbel is our Parish of the Week.

Born and raised in Cleveland, OH, Fr. Chris grew up in a typical Maronite Catholic household. He was very active in St. Maron’s Parish in Cleveland serving as an altar boy, participating in youth group, and singing in the choir. Senior year of high school, he answered the call to the priesthood and was accepted as a pre-seminarian in the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon. He currently serves as the Associate Pastor of St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church in Clinton Twp, Michigan while working with the youth/young adults and media ministries in the Eparchy.

Dr. Mary Healy tells us about Online Degree Programs at SHSM and her course this fall is called “Acts of the Apostles in the New Evangelization”.

Dr. Mary Healy is professor of Scripture at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit and a bestselling author and international speaker. She is a general editor of the Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture and author of two of its volumes, The Gospel of Mark and Hebrews. Her other books include The Spiritual Gifts Handbook and Healing. Dr. Healy serves the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian unity as a member of the Pentecostal-Catholic International Dialogue. She is one of the first three women ever to serve on the Pontifical Biblical Commission and is a consultor to the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.
