Kristin Olmedo joined United Community Family Services/ Chaldean American Ladies of Charity (UCFS/CALC) as its new president and CEO in June 2021. Kristin is responsible for the oversight and strategic direction of UCFS/CALC’s services to more than 10,000 people annually in metro Detroit.
Kristin has dedicated her career to the care of others. She is a vastly experienced nonprofit executive who brings a lifelong passion and commitment to those less fortunate in our community. Prior to joining UCFS/CALC, Kristin was the Director of Development of Grace Centers of Hope, Pontiac, Mich. where she advanced through several positions including Director of Financial and Business Operations of Grace Centers of Hope. Kristin is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. A resident of Clarkston, Mich., Kristin earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Oakland University. In her free time, she likes to travel with her husband, watch soccer and spend time with her nephew and niece.

Patti Armstrong
Patti Maguire Armstrong is an award-winning author and was the managing editor and co-author of Ascension Press’ bestselling Amazing Grace Series. Her newest books are Holy Hacks: Everyday Ways to Live Your Faith & Get to Heaven and Big Hearted: Inspiring Stories from Everyday Families. She has a B.A. in social work and M.A. in public administration and worked in both those fields before staying home to work as a freelance writer. I’m Dr. Tim Hogan. I co-authored How to Find the Help You Need, a guide to psychotherapy and spiritual direction, teach at Sacred Heart Major Seminary , and work in private practice in Plymouth, MI. I’m the former Director of the Grace Counseling Center in Detroit.
