Anas was born in Baghdad, Iraq and migrated to the US in 1996 and is m married with 3 children. He currently serves as a Subdeacon at St. Joseph Chaldean Church in Troy and has taught Catechism and Communion for 10 years. He was a Youth Group leader (CLC) and has led various retreats (Kairos, 2 Foundations high school boys, Emmaus Retreat). Anas loves to read the works of Thomas Aquinas and Augustine. Anas started a podcast called “The Salty Catholic” in the summer of 2020.

Fr. Ryan grew up in Ray Township, Michigan, and has three sisters, one brother and really awesome parents. He converted to the Catholic faith in college, and was ordained on June 7, 2014. Fr. Ryan says, “I basically love Jesus and my greatest goal in life is to be consumed by the Gospel so that it pours out of me because Jesus is the most beautiful and greatest gift that any of us can receive—He is truly Good News.”
Campaign Director, 40 Days for Life
Steve Karlen serves as the campaign director for 40 Days for Life, where he trains and assists local 40 Days for Life campaign leaders, co-hosts The 40 Days for Life Podcast, and edits 40 Days for Life’s Day 41 magazine. He is the author of the book This is When We Begin to Fight and co-author of the upcoming book What to Say When: The Complete New Guide to Discussing Abortion. Steve lives in Madison with his wife and five children.
