Iklas Bashi talks eloquently explains spiritual warfare and invites us to attend a very important talk. Courtney Nixon encourages us to support St. Fabian by participating in the auction coming up. Teresa Tomeo gives a continuation of her book and invites us to a virtual conference. Gwenis Laura gives the honor and praise to the Holy Spirit and talks about how he has worked her life and the school. Fr. Carlos Martins invites us to walk with the relics of the Saints.


Iklas Bashi, MA, LPC

Iklas Bashi, MA, LPC is a Christian/Catholic Certified Life Coach, Clinical Therapist, Speaker and Writer. She combines the rich teaching of the Catholic faith and her experience and training in psychology to help others break free from negative mindsets, discover their God given identity and live a life of purpose and meaning.

Iklas has been featured on Ave Maria Radio AM 990 and It’s Your Community WJR-AM. Her articles have appeared in The Michigan Catholic, The Chaldean News, HealthPartners and St. John Today. She has been a Co-host on Invitation to Sisterhood which airs on CTND (Catholic Television) and YouTube.

For the past 3 years, she has been facilitating the Surviving Divorce Support Group for the Chaldean Diocese of St. Thomas which is a healing support group for individuals going through the pain of divorce.

She loves to read and inspires the love of learning in others because she believes books have the power to transform us.

She is passionate about walking alongside others on their journey toward healing and integration and her greatest vocation is being a wife and mother.

Courtney Nixon

Assistant Principle, St. Fabian Catholic School

Courtney Nixon has been an educator for fifteen years. She teaches middle school ELA and is the Assistant Principal at St. Fabian Catholic School. Courtney graduated from Madonna University with both a Bachelors in Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership. She has been a strong advocate for Catholic Education since her time learning in Catholic Schools and loves sharing the love of Christ with all her students.

Gwenis Laura

Principle, Holy Spirit School Brighton

Ms. Gwenis Laura is blessed and inspired to serve the Holy Spirit community as Principal of Holy Spirit Catholic School. Ms. Laura graduated from Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She obtained a Master of Arts in Classroom Teaching from the University of Michigan and an Education Specialist Degree in School Administration from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.

Ms. Laura has been a school administrator for 25 years. Prior to joining Holy Spirit Catholic School, she served as the Executive Director of an International Baccalaureate and dual language immersion school in Los Angeles, CA. Her administrative background includes a wide range of positions in both the public and private sector.

Ms. Laura’s approach as an educator is to plan creatively, work devoutly and collaborate steadily to meet the academic, social emotional and spiritual needs of all students.

Ms. Laura is a member of Christ the King Parish in Ann Arbor, MI.
