Anita Houghton

Anita Houghton is a Part-time Professor at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science both from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, as well as a Master’s Degree in Theology with a concentration in Sacred Scripture from Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut.

Anita works full-time for the Archdiocese of Detroit in the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis, where she serves as a Regional Coordinator of Catechetical Programming and Formation. Prior to this, she served as the Director of Religious Education at St. Sylvester Parish in Warren, Michigan. She is also an Adjunct Faculty member of Baker College where she develops and teaches classes for online delivery. Before working for the Church, she worked in the field of Information Technology as a Senior Programmer/Analyst for approximately 15 years.

Anita is a member of the SHMS Academic Affairs Committee and a member of the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership. Anita is married to her husband Mike, who was recently ordained to the Permanent Diaconate and assigned to St. John Vianney Parish in Shelby Township, Michigan. Anita loves to spend time with her husband and three teenage children. When the opportunity presents itself, she likes to golf, read, bike ride, and cook.

Anas Kesto

Anas was born in Baghdad, Iraq and migrated to the US in 1996 and is m married with 3 children. He currently serves as a Subdeacon at St. Joseph Chaldean Church in Troy and has taught Catechism and Communion for 10 years. He was a Youth Group leader (CLC) and has led various retreats (Kairos, 2 Foundations high school boys, Emmaus Retreat). Anas loves to read the works of Thomas Aquinas and Augustine. Anas started a podcast called “The Salty Catholic” in the summer of 2020.

Chris Martin

Rome Boys is a Catholic YouTube Show where the hosts talk about various topics from three different perspectives. Tony Frasco is the Theologian and has a MA and BA in Theology and was in the seminary for a while. Tony is married with 7 children and author of the book Reflection of the Son. Joe Matthieson is the Farmer and provides a down to earth approach, humor, and is your everyday Joe. Joe is married with 5 children, teaches RCIA and CCD. Chris is the Entrepreneur, business man and is the brains of the operation.
