4:00 – We Can’t Fix Health Care unless we Change the Terms of the Debate
In the last week Senators Bernie Sanders and Bill Cassidy have introduced new health care legislation. Sanders’ plan, backed by at least 15 Democratic senators, is a single-payer plan that would expand Medicare into a universal health insurance program. Bill Cassidy’s plan, which is co-sponsored by Lindsey Graham, Dean Heller and Ron Johnson, is a new effort to repeal Obamacare before the end of the month, a deadline for Senate action without Republican support. The vast differences in the two bills are another sign of the deep divisions within Congress. We’ll take a look with Brad Hahn.
