In 2015, then-Attorney General of California Kamala Harris tried to force the Thomas More Law Center to hand over its list of donors, a move the Law Center says would subject donors to harassment. In a statement released yesterday morning, the USCCB welcomed President Biden to the White House and expressed a desire to work with him on matters such as care for the poor. But it was also explicit about the contradiction between Biden’s faith and his support for abortion. The release of the statement was reportedly delayed after a Vatican intervention as Church officials debated whether it was worded too strongly. JD Flynn has the details.
