4:20 – Supreme Court Takes Up Non-Profit Free Speech Case

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case concerning freedom of speech and association. In 2015, then-Attorney General of California Kamala Harris tried to force the Thomas More Law Center to hand over its list of donors, a move the Law Center says would subject donors to harassment. Richard Thompson joins us with more.

4:40 – Did the Vatican Intervene on the USCCB’s Biden Statement?

In a statement released yesterday morning, the USCCB welcomed President Biden to the White House and expressed a desire to work with him on matters such as care for the poor. But it was also explicit about the contradiction between Biden’s faith and his support for abortion. The release of the statement was reportedly delayed after a Vatican intervention as Church officials debated whether it was worded too strongly. JD Flynn has the details.

5:00 – Church News Roundup + The Year of Dante?!?!?

At a press conference yesterday, new White House Press Secretary Jenn Psaki was asked by EWTN’s Owen Jensen how the Biden administration will handle the Hyde Amendment and Mexico City Policy. She didn’t provide an answer but apparently felt it necessary to remind Jensen that Biden is “a devout Catholic.” We’ll look at what we can expect from the bishops, the Vatican, and the Biden administration with Matthew Bunson, who also has news on the now-Venerable Jerome Lejeune and asks if this is the Year of Dante.

5:20 – Revelation and the Crisis in the Church, Part II

We talked last week with Peter Herbeck about the early chapters of the Book of Revelation and what they say about our current Church in crisis. He joins us again to dive deeper into the conversation.
