4:00 – Kresta Comments: Forgiveness and Thanksgiving
4:20 – I Survived the Kent St Shooting
Yesterday we spoke with Juan Romero, the busboy from the iconic photo of RFK’s assassination. Today we speak with someone from another landmark event of the mid-20th century: The Kent St shooting. When shots rang out on Kent State’s campus on May 4, 1970, Dean Kahler was just a curious student wondering what all the protests were. He was struck by a bullet and lost the use of his legs. But he never lost hope. Dean joins us.
5:00 – The Assassination of RFK — Kennedy, Politician, Catholic
It was 50 years ago, June 6, 1968, that Robert F. Kennedy was brutally removed from the national stage by the hand of an assassin. He’s considered to be the most devoutly Catholic of the Kennedy family. We talk more with Dr Paul Kengor.
5:20 – Ephesians 4 and the five-fold gifts
In the Book of Ephesians, St. Paul writes that ministers are given to us “to prepare God’s people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” We’ll look more at the passage with Dr. Peter Williamson.
