2018 saw both good and bad news on the pro-life front. Abortion advocates, still emboldened by Trump’s election, have shown a renewed vigor in trying to “normalize” abortion. We look at the latest trends and to the future with Monica Miller.

In 2018 we witnessed the continuation of some disturbing trends on the bioethics front. So-called “death with dignity” continues to spread and advocates now want to force doctors to violate their own consciences. There have also been new efforts to push the envelope in genetic engineering and cloning. Wes Smith gives us the details.

5:00 – The Top Religious Liberty Stories of 2018

The biggest story of the year in religious liberty was likely the Masterpiece Cakeshop ruling, which stated that Jack Philips could not be forced to create a cake for a same-sex wedding. However, the ruling was not as definitive as religious liberty advocates would have liked. Furthermore, Phillips quickly found himself back in court after he refused to make a cake to celebrate a “gender transition.” We look at this and other stories with Rob Muise.

What are the top political stories of the year? Chief among them has to be the nomination and hearings of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, as well as the Democratic victories in November as candidates begin exploring options for the 2020 elections. We’ll talk more with Paul Kengor.
