4:20 – Hungarian Parliament Takes Extreme Measures to Fight COVID
The Hungarian government is taking extreme measures to fight the spread of the Coronavirus. Its parliament has passed a bill giving Prime Minister Viktor Orban sweeping emergency powers for an indefinite period of time. Parliament is closed, future elections were called off, existing laws can be suspended and the prime minister is now entitled to rule by decree. Opposition lawmakers had tried to set a time limit on the legislation but failed. Dr Lee Congdon has more.

The economic fallout from the Coronavirus pandemic has been one of the biggest stories of the pandemic. One group affected by the fallout that isn’t receiving as much attention is our Catholic parishes and nonprofits, who have been unable to conduct offerings and regular fundraisers.
