Cop says Ethan Crumbley texted friend: ‘I’m mentally and physically dying’
Months before he allegedly blasted gunfire through his school, Ethan Crumbley was begging for help.
“I am mentally and physically dying,” he texted a friend one night, according to prosecutors.
It was after midnight. And the 15-year-old was reaching out to a peer about the demons in his head — the ones he said he saw throwing bowls around his house.
And the voices.
“I am going to ask my parents to go to the doctor tomorrow … but this time I’m going to tell them about the voices,” Ethan Crumbley texted that spring evening, officials said.
The text message was among several disclosed in court Tuesday during a hearing for the teenager’s parents, who prosecutors allege are partly to blame for the deadly Nov. 30 mass shooting at Oxford High School.
