Ave Maria Radio is conducting an online only membership drive this month aimed at raising much-needed funds and increasing its membership numbers. The goal is to get at least 250 new people to pledge their support and join a growing army of members who are making Ave Maria Radio a national powerhouse for the proclamation of the Gospel and the teachings of the Catholic Church. BOISE, Idaho – Teresa Tomeo will visit Boise Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29 to take part in the annual Fortnight for Freedom gathering and participate in Salt and Light Catholic Radio’s summer banquet event.

The Friday banquet begins with a wine and cheese hour at 6 p.m. at the Barber Park Events Center in Boise. It will feature an Argentinian dinner, dancing and auctions benefiting Salt and Light Catholic Radio.

The Saturday seminar, “A Fortnight for Freedom Event: Bringing America Back to Life,” begins at 9 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Boise, following an 8 a.m. open Mass. The public is invited. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.

Tomeo is an author, syndicated Catholic talk show host and motivational speaker with more than 30 years of experience in TV, radio and newspaper.

In 2000, Tomeo left the secular media to start her own speaking and communications company, Teresa Tomeo Communications LLC. Her weekday morning radio program, Catholic Connection, is produced by Ave Maria Radio in Ann Arbor, Mich.

She also is a columnist and special correspondent for the national Catholic newspaper, Our Sunday Visitor, and appears frequently on the EWTN Global Catholic Television Network. She co-hosts the new EWTN television series, The Catholic View for Women, and is the field reporter for its annual March for Life coverage in Washington, D.C.

She has been featured on The O’Reilly Factor, Fox News, Fox and Friends, MSNBC and the Dr. Laura Show, discussing issues of faith, media awareness and Catholic Church teaching, especially as it relates to the culture.
