Fr. John Riccardo was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Detroit in 1996. He is the Founder and Executive Director of ACTS XXIX, a non-profit apostolate that exists to help get God’s world back by equipping clergy and lay leaders for the apostolic age in which we live. Fr. John served as a parish pastor for 15 years, most recently at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Plymouth, Michigan where he was witness to the power of the Holy Spirit in a way that caught the attention of pastors around the country. Fr. is also the author of “Rescued: The Unexpected and Extraordinary News of the Gospel.”
Segment 4 – Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem Foundation
Holy Family Hospital is located just 1,500 steps from the birthplace of Christ. This Catholic teaching hospital serves a population where most are likely descendants of the shepherds who ran to be at the side of the Christ Child over 2,000 years ago. Just as the original manager provided shelter to Mary, Joseph and Jesus during their time of need, so does Holy Family Hospital, which embraces and accepts all who seek care, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or ability to pay.
