The Augustine Institute invites Catholics to deepen their roots with Christ this Advent through Rooted: Rediscover The Jesse Tree This Advent, a 25-episode video series available on Formed, the Augustine Institute’s on-demand streaming platform. Hosted by Associate Professor of Theology Dr. Scott Hefelfinger, viewers are guided through Scripture and the story of Christ’s ancestors in a modern way, relevant and applicable to the daily, ordinary lives of adults today.

Dr. Scott Hefelfinger serves the Augustine Institute as Director of Content Development and Concurrent Associate Professor of Theology in the graduate school. He teaches in the areas of moral and dogmatic theology, specializing in Catholic social thought, marriage and family, and the theology of the interior life and prayer. Drawing on his teaching and research, he helps to guide the development of Institute’s multimedia content offerings, which enrich the lives of Catholics through various platforms, including FORMED, the Amen app, podcasts, and more.
