Segment 2 & 3 – To Sanctify the World: The Vital Legacy of Vatican II
“In To Sanctify the World, George Weigel explains the necessity of Vatican II and explores the continuing relevance of its teaching in a world seeking a deeper experience of freedom than personal willfulness. The Council’s texts are also a critical resource for the Catholic Church as it lives out its original, Christ-centered evangelical purpose.”

George Weigel is a New York Times bestselling author of many books, including “The Next Pope: The Office of Peter and a Church in Mission” as well as “Witness to Hope” and “The Irony of Modern Catholic History.” He’s a distinguished senior fellow of Washington’s Ethics and Public Policy Center.

Segment 4 – Abortion Rate Drops 20% Since 2011 as More Babies are Saved From Abortions

“On Wednesday, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released abortion data for the year 2020. This new data contain some good news for pro-lifers. Among the 47 states reporting abortion data in both 2019 and 2020, the number of abortions decreased by 1.5 percent. After a long-term decline, the CDC reported increasing abortion numbers in both 2018 and 2019. And so this 2020 abortion decline is welcome news.”  Michael New joins us.

Michael New is a research associate at the Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America and is an associate scholar at the Charlotte Lozier Institute.
