Catholic Connection – August 29, 2022 – Hour 2
Dr. Marcellino D’Ambrosio discusses a new study program called “What We Believe: The Beauty of the Catholic Faith.” Gail Buckley Barringer has our Bible verse of the week.
Segment 1 – Intro and News
Segment 2 & 3 – What We Believe: The Beauty of the Catholic Faith
“The Catholic Church is extraordinary. Founded by Christ himself, the Catholic Church is where we encounter God in his Word, his sacraments, and his saints. The Church faithfully proclaims the fullness of faith, leaving no truth out. It proclaims the fullness of life, leaving no person out. It calls all to repent and to believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the source of all life and salvation.” Dr. D’Ambrosio talks about this new study.
Dr. Marcellino D’Ambrosio is the founder of Crossroads Initiative. Though a specialist in the interpretation of scripture and tradition, Dr. D’Ambrosio’s teaching has covered a broad range of subjects from historical, dogmatic, and sacramental theology to evangelization, ecumenism, and Vatican II. He received his Ph.D. in historical theology from The Catholic University of America under the direction of Avery Cardinal Dulles and has had a prolific career as a Catholic author, internationally-respected speaker, pilgrimage leader, and university professor.

Segment 5 – Bible Verse of the Week
Teresa and Gail discuss Acts 5:14-15 — “And more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women, so that they even carried out the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and pallets, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them.”
