He earned a bachelor’s degree in religious studies and philosophy from Benedictine College and a master’s degree in sacred scripture from the Augustine Institute.

Fr. Mike Schmitz is a priest for the Diocese of Duluth, MN where he currently runs the Newman Center at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He is also the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the diocese and the host of the “Bible in a Year” podcast and the “Catechism in a Year” podcast.
