Segment 4 – The Intensifying Intolerance Toward Christians in the West
“We rarely think of serious religious freedom violations as taking place in the West. However, in recent years, many of the countries we typically consider “free and open” have become particularly aggressive in violating freedom of religion and conscience. Family Research Council analyzed open-source documents, reports, and media outlets to assess government violations of religious freedom against Christians in 34 countries. In the end, we identified 99 incidents across 14 countries since 2020. This report is not exhaustive, but it offers valuable insights into the factors contributing to Western governments’ violations of religious freedom against Christians.” Arielle joins us.

Arielle Del Turco serves as Assistant Director of the Center for Religious Liberty at Family Research Council, where she is responsible for international religious freedom policy and advocacy efforts. Through research and analysis, she helps craft effective policy solutions and coordinates FRC’s advocacy on international religious freedom.
