Dcn. Cerrato has written about the importance of including the voices of Deacons at the upcoming Synod.  He joins Teresa today to discuss.

Deacon Dominic Cerrato is Director of Diaconal Ministries and Director of the Diaconate for the Diocese of Joliet. He is also the Editor of Our Sunday Visitor’s, The Deacon magazine and was chosen by Pope Francis to be a member of the international Papal Commission on Women and the Diaconate.

 

 

 

Segment 4 – Vatican document on human dignity condemns gender transition, surrogacy, abortion
“The Vatican’s top doctrinal office issued a declaration on the theme of human dignity on Monday that addresses growing concerns such as gender theory, sex changes, surrogacy, and euthanasia in addition to abortion, poverty, human trafficking, and war. The declaration, titled Dignitas Infinita, which means “infinite dignity,” states that the Church highlights these concerns “with hope, confident of the power that flows from the risen Christ, who has fully revealed the integral dignity of every man and woman.”  Fr. Tad joins us to discuss!

Fr. Tadeusz Pacholczyk currently serves as Senior Ethicist at the NCBC. A priest of the Diocese of Fall River, Massachusetts, he has given several hundred presentations and participated in debates and roundtables on contemporary medical ethics and bioethics throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Fr. Pacholczyk has degrees in philosophy, biochemistry, molecular cell biology, and chemistry. He later earned a PhD in neuroscience from Yale University, where he focused on cloning genes for neurotransmitter transporters which are expressed in the brain.
