Anita Houghton explains the Acts of the Apostles Scripture Challenge starting Sunday. Fr. Mario Amore talks about Holy Week in the Archdiocese of Detroit.

Segment 2 – ‘Easter People on Mission’ Acts of the Apostles Scripture Challenge

“Join us for a seven-week journey through Acts of the Apostles to walk with the first disciples and be inspired by what the Holy Spirit did through them to build the infant Church. Beginning on Easter Sunday, you will receive a weekly email with a reading guide, a brief commentary, and reflection questions to help you apply these readings to your life. Prompts can be received via email or text message.”

Anita Houghton is a Part-time Professor at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and a Masters Degree in Computer Science both from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, as well as a Masters Degree in Theology with a concentration in Sacred Scripture from Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut. Anita works full-time for the Archdiocese of Detroit in the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis, where she serves as a Regional Coordinator of Catechetical Programming and Formation. She also promotes the dynamic guide “52 Sundays.”

Segment 3 – Holy Week in the Archdiocese of Detroit

Archbishop Vigneron will publicly celebrate the liturgies of Holy Week and Easter at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, located at 9844 Woodward Avenue in Detroit. Those liturgies are as follows:
• Holy Thursday, April 1: Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7 p.m.
• Good Friday, April 2: Passion of the Lord at 1 p.m.
• Holy Saturday, April 3: Easter Vigil at 9 p.m.
• Easter Sunday, April 4: Easter Sunday Mass at 11 a.m.
