Segment 3 – St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School in Livonia

Nancy Kuszczak is the Principal of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School in Livonia. She joins us this morning to tell us about two open houses they have coming up Jan 31st and Feb 2nd. See the website for more information. They go on to say:

“We are also celebrating with the community our success in operating the school at full capacity since last August without any need for health-related shut downs or closures.  We have been offering both face-to-face and remote learning opportunities during that time and approximately 90% of our students have chosen face-to-face instruction, full day, five days per week. The school has installed many contact-free types of equipment (door openers, hand sanitizers, soap dispensers, water dispensers etc.), built a special Health and Safety room monitored by a health and safety officer for children who feel ill during the school day, and established strict multi-pronged safety protocols for children, teachers, parents, and all others who enter the school. Statistics indicate there have been very few quarantines or active Covid cases during the year, and none of them have been attributed to school exposures. “
