Catholic Connection – Jan. 21, 2025 – Hr 2

John Bursch, author of “Loving God’s Children,” joins us again to continue the discussion from our first hour on President Trump’s EO recognizing only two sexes.  Louis Brown from Christ Medicus Foundation talks about the Inauguration and life!

Segment 1 – Intro and News

Segment 2 & 3 – Loving God’s Children: The Church and Gender Ideology
“In this timely and incisive book, John Bursch helps explain what the Catholic Church teaches about the human person and why modern culture’s embrace of “gender ideology” is not only wrong but terribly dangerous for parents and families, female athletes, medical professionals — and especially those experiencing gender confusion.”

John J. Bursch serves as vice president of appellate advocacy for Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), the largest public-interest law firm in the world defending religious liberty, free speech, parental rights, marriage and family, and the right to life. John has argued twelve cases in the U.S. Supreme Court, including cases defending the Catholic Church’s teachings on marriage and sexuality.

Segment 4 – The Inauguration and Opportunity for Life
“As we begin a new year, a new Congress and a new Administration, we look forward with confidence to new policies and priorities that protect life and promote dignity, that protect medical conscience rights and promote religious freedom. The Christ Medicus Foundation looks forward to working together with President Trump, his Administration and Members of Congress to renew, strengthen and protect life, human dignity, and religious freedom and to expand the participation of faith-based entities in the health and wellness of our nation.” – Louis Brown
