Catholic Connection – Jan 4, 2024 – Hr 2
Best of “Catholic Connection” with Fr. Dwight Longenecker, Dr. Miriam Grossman and Dr. Edward Sri.
Segment 1 – There and Back Again: A Somewhat Religious Odyssey
“This story of one man’s amazing journey from Protestant fundamentalism through the Church of England to the Catholic priesthood offers an inspiring tale of God’s providence, and the truth that “all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose.” Fr. Longenecker joins us. (Originally aired August 22, 2023)
Segment 2 & 3 – Lost in Trans Nation: A Child Psychiatrist’s Guide Out of the Madness
“Throughout our country, atrocities are taking place in doctor’s offices and hospital operating rooms. Physically healthy children and adolescents are being permanently disfigured and sometimes sterilized. Those youth say they’re transgender, and we—their parents, teachers, therapists, and doctors—are supposed to agree with their self-diagnosis and take a back seat as they make the most consequential decision of their lives: to alter their bodies in order to, we are told, “align” them with their minds.” Miriam Grossman, MD joins us to discuss her new book, “Lost in Trans Nation.” (Originally aired November 17, 2023)
Miriam Grossman, MD is board certified in psychiatry and in the subspecialty of child and adolescent psychiatry. The author of five books, including Unprotected and You’re Teaching My Child WHAT?, Dr. Grossman’s work exposing the origin and hazards of the sexuality and gender industry has been translated into eleven languages. She has testified in Congress and lectured at the British House of Lords and the United Nations. She is featured in Daily Wire’s What Is A Woman?, Fox Nation’s The Miseducation of America, and many other documentaries. Her expert psychiatric opinion is sought for witness testimony and court reports.
Segment 4 – When You Pray: A Clear Path to a Deeper Relationship with God
“You know prayer is important but still find it challenging. Perhaps it’s hard to find time, or you’re unsure what to do when you pray. Or maybe you feel discouraged by your weaknesses and your inability to overcome them. If you have any of these feelings, you are not alone. Many of the saints struggled in prayer. They were like us. But each time they fell, they got up again and learned to rely more on God’s grace.” Dr. Sri joins us to discuss his new book and study program. (Originally aired September 8, 2023)
