Imagining the Future

Twenty years ago, The New Atlantis published a remarkable essay by Yuval Levin titled, “Imagining the Future.” On the surface, the essay is about how we ought to think about technology and how it shapes our future as individuals and as a people. But the framework of the essay is also very helpful for thinking through all kinds of important questions, including questions facing the Church in these turbulent days. We talk more with Stephen White.

Christian hope for the healing of eating disorders

Eating disorders are a prevalent illness of the modern age and in recent decades the number of sufferers has increased globally. The majority are women but growing numbers of men have joined their ranks. Dr. Sara Frear joins us to share her own experiences and what she has learned about the healing of eating disorders.

Dr. Sara Frear is a professor of history at Houston Christian University. Her research specialties include women’s history, American religion, the Old South, and popular culture. Her academic publications focus on popular women writers of the nineteenth century.
