When Skeptics become Converts

50 years ago, American Christianity was swept up in the Jesus Movement, a wave of “counter-culture Christians” who held highly emotionally-charged notions of the Christian experience. Today we see the polar opposite: a wave of dispassionate converts whose turn to faith is tethered far more to cognitive knowledge than to subjective experience.
