Our Lady of Akita Visionary Dies at 93

Sister Agnes Sasagawa, a Japanese nun whose purported visions of the Virgin Mary under the title of Our Lady of Akita included stark warnings for humanity and instructions to pray the Rosary and repent of sin, died last week at age 93. We look at her life with Michael O’Neill.

Michael O’Neill is an award-winning author, EWTN host and creator of the popular miracle-tracking website MiracleHunter.com. He’s a member of the Mariological Society of America, has been interviewed about his research on programs like NBC Today and The Dr. Oz Show and was featured in the National Geographic magazine cover story and map about the Virgin Mary “The Most Powerful Woman in the World”. He is the creator and host of the EWTN docuseries "They Might Be Saints" about the lives of future saints and the search for canonization miracles.

Women Want More Children Than They’re Having. America Can Do More to Help

The fertility rate has hit a record low in the United States, with the average American woman now expected to have just 1.6 births in her lifetime, well below the replacement fertility rate of 2.1 babies per woman. But just because fertility is falling and childlessness is rising does not mean this state of family affairs is what most women want. Even today, most young women say they would like to have a family. Brad Wilcox has more.
