Description: Earlier this year the Toledo, Ohio City Council voted unanimously to ban so-called "conversion therapy" for persons experiencing same-sex attraction. It is the first city in the US to enact a ban that applies to all ages, not just minors. This is an issue that has become highly politicized, much to the detriment of all concerned. We'll look at the concept of conversion therapy from a Catholic perspective with Dan Mattson.
Dan Mattson was featured in the documentary Desire of the Everlasting Hills and has written about the Church's good news concerning homosexuality in First Things, Crisis Magazine, and other publications. He has been a frequent speaker at the National Catholic Singles Conference and appears regularly on Catholic Radio. He's working on a book called "Why I Don't Call Myself Gay: How I Reclaimed My Sexual Reality and Found Peace"
Description: The Senate and House have passed their respective tax bills and are now in talks to reconcile the differences between the two.
