  • Description: On April 13, 1574, Thomas More was summoned to London for questioning about the Oath of Succession. He accepted Parliament’s right to declare Anne Boleyn Queen of England, but refused to take the oath recognizing King Henry as supreme head of the Church in England. Four days later he was taken to the Tower of London, where he would remain until his execution the following year. We look back on the events with Stephanie Mann.
