God has been present in so many aspects of my life. When facing significant life choices, I always find God has shown me the way—even when it is not what I had anticipated. It was God’s Holy whisper to me that led me to consider taking up iconography. I have had multiple opportunities to learn and grow as an iconographer— learning from many gifted and generous teachers including Father Damian (egg tempura), Father Marek (acrylic), and others. I have also been fortunate to travel to so many places around the globe (Rome, Sienna, Assisi, Florence, Milan in Italy, France, Germany, Singapore, Poland, Mexico, and the Holy Land). Each place provided opportunities to admire many of the most stunning works of art ever created. In my ten years practicing the art of iconography, I have been the understudy for several works including St. Frances, St. Clare, Juan Diego, and the San Domino Cross. I was fortunate to be the primary designer of the Fountain of Divine Mercy icon thanks to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. God’s nudge to me over ten years ago has resulted in this glorious gift of iconography. Thanks be to God
