As Director of Communications and Public Education for the Parents Television Council (PTC), Melissa Henson communicates the mission and message of the PTC to the American public and develops groundbreaking reports on entertainment trends and other PTC publications. Ms. Henson is a noted expert on entertainment industry trends and the how the impact of entertainment affects children and the American popular culture at large.
As CMA’s Executive Director and Ethicist, John Brehany, Ph.D., S.T.L., is responsible for coordinating efforts to strengthen the CMA internally and to enhance its ability to witness effectively in the public square. Under his leadership, the CMA’s membership has increased over 80 percent and the number of guilds has grown from 8 to 74. As CMA’s national representative, Brehany meets regularly with two committees of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, serves on national partnerships addressing conscience rights and healthcare reform, and provides interviews to a wide range of media outlets.
